MSc in Ophthalmology from University College London (2020), Bolashak scholar, PhD. By his own account, he spent a year in clinical practice in London — now he operates in Astana, so there’s no need to fly anywhere.

He replaces the lens with ultrasound through a tiny incision, with no stitches, under local anaesthesia; according to Dr. Galiyev, the operation takes 10–15 minutes. He implants any lens — from the basic AcrySof to the trifocal PanOptix and RayOne Galaxy and the extended-depth-of-focus Vivity (EDOF) — and chooses the one that suits your eye.
