First — a calm examination. Then the doctor chooses one of three: glasses or night lenses, training on devices, or simply monitoring. Just like with a growing child: most often what’s needed is watching, not intervening.
The devices don’t touch the eye. For a baby — a toy and a light; for a schoolchild — pictures and a chart. At the end the doctor will say whether anything needs doing. If everything is fine, she’ll say so.
