How to recognize eye diseases: the main symptoms

Special attention should be paid to the occurrence of unusual visual effects:

• blurred outlines and colored circles around objects (especially around light sources)

• "spots" or "fog" before the eyes. 

These symptoms may indicate serious visual impairment.

Discomfort, such as burning, itching, eye pain, dryness, or excessive tearing, are also important signals. Redness of the eyes, swelling of the eyelids, and frequent headaches may be a sign of the development of eye diseases.
