Why vision is cloudy again after cataract surgery
The cataract does not come back. What clouds over is the capsule — the thin membrane that holds the new lens. During surgery the surgeon removes the cloudy natural lens but leaves its clear outer “bag”, the capsule. The artificial lens is placed inside it. Over time, cells can grow on the back wall of the capsule, and it loses its clarity. This is secondary cataract, in medical terms — posterior capsule opacification.

About the risks, honestly
Complications are rare but do happen: a brief rise in eye pressure, inflammation, swelling of the central retina and, very rarely, retinal detachment. That is why the laser is done after an exam rather than “on complaint”, and in some conditions it is postponed: with active inflammation or recent retinal problems.
